The day after Christmas for me holds the most charm

With glitter in the carpet and new bobbles on my arm

The carnage of candy the trash filled with bows

A celebration at its end and its highs and its lows

Wrapping paper on the floor and dry little branches

Witnesses of the crazy fun and festive dances

Christmas is gone and filled us with wonder

Thoughts of sleighrides and reindeer named 'Donner'

Lets pack up the boxes and clear off the shelves

Goodbye to Christmas and its little green elves

Its time to clean up but lets wait for a bit more

and joy in the chaos still strewn on the floor
